Women Organized Resources for Liberia’s Development, Inc. (WORLD, Inc.) was established in September 1990 in Baltimore, Maryland, under the leadership of Mrs. Rachel Pearce Marshall. The organization is a charitable, educational, nonprofit entity and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. WORLD, Inc. is dedicated to providing resources that support healthcare, social services, economic sustainability, and the education of children. The organization operates under the core principles of commitment, accountability, and the implementation of diverse strategies. Its guiding motto is “Caring and Sharing.”

WORLD, Inc. builds Learning and Development Center

From the beginning, the purpose of WORLD, Inc. has been the health care and education of women and children in Liberia. An this intention has remained the same over the last 3 decades. We have provided resources and assisted many with the challenges of hunger, homelessness, health care and natural disasters.

Of the many projects we have undertakes, the support of children in school has been the most enduring. The achievement of high school graduation is inspiring. We are currently in he process of building a learning and development center in the township of Virginia, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia.
